The Bachelor of Science in Applied Business is a career-oriented degree that allows students to tailor their business program to meet their career goals and interest. The program design offers flexibility and will enable students to capitalize on previous college credits, work experience, military training, and other sources of prior credit while building additional stackable credentials. Students will experience fundamental business concepts such as Communications, Management, Marketing, Analytics, Problem Solving, Strategy, and business tools such as Microsoft and Excel. With a curriculum that offers generous elective options, students can build an individualized and in-demand educational pathway by choosing elective credits from various programs.
Students will be prepared for a range of business positions in the public and private sector, the trades sector, healthcare, nonprofit agencies, businesses, and the service industry.
The Applied Business courses will be offered in both an online and face-to-face format over a seven week period. Most core courses are offered in the "hybrid" format, which includes 20 hours of classroom instruction and at least 20 hours of online instruction.
Cooperative learning experiences (co-ops) are available in the Applied Business program utilizing elective courses approved by the Program Chair. Depending on the co-op experience available and the student’s course completion schedule, other courses may also be completed as a co-op. Each co-op experience is expected to last for two consecutive semesters and earn the student six credits toward their 120 credit degree.
Experiential Learning at 香港伦理 takes a 360° approach to applied education. Whether you bring significant professional experience and pursue Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), or you complete a Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) experience such as an internship or cooperative education placement embedded within your academic program, these opportunities provide meaningful pathways toward completing your degree.
