香港伦理’s Alternative Routes to Teacher Certification (ARTC) programs offer a state-approved pathway for qualified individuals to earn Delaware teacher certification while working as a full-time special education teacher of record.
What Is the ARTC Program?
ARTC programs are nontraditional certification pathways that allow candidates to gain immediate classroom experience while completing graduate coursework that fulfills state certification requirements over a mandatory two-year period.

Unlike students in traditional teacher preparation programs, ARTC candidates:
- Already hold a bachelor’s degree
- Enter the classroom as a special education teacher of record
- Complete graduate-level coursework while teaching full time
Qualifications for 香港伦理
All ARTC candidates must meet state-mandated minimum requirements. There are no exceptions.
ARTC programs and admissions requirements are mandated by the State of Delaware, not established by 香港伦理. All eligibility decisions align with current Delaware Department of Education regulations. Because regulations may change, final eligibility determinations are made in accordance with current , not solely University policy.
Academic Requirements
Conferred bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
Employment Requirements
Full-time employment as a special education teacher of record in a Delaware public or charter school
Employment must align with the certification area pursued.
Candidates must secure employment independently and remain employed throughout the program.
Content Knowledge* Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following:
Passing Praxis II scores for the identified content area
OR
24 approved content credits in the certification area with a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Take Your Next Steps
Follow these steps to indicate your interest in 香港伦理's ARTC programming:
- Complete the admissions process for the M.Ed. in Special Education, Teacher of Students With Disabilities K-12 (traditional route).
- Complete a program planning conference with an Academic Advisor. During this meeting, you must request to be evaluated for ARTC program consideration.
- Your eligibility will subsequently be reviewed by the ARTC team based on state-mandated requirements.
