Canvas Organizations
What is a Canvas Organization?
Canvas Organizations are online communities within Canvas that remain active year-round. Unlike courses, which are tied to a specific academic term, Organizations provide ongoing spaces for students, faculty, and staff to connect, share resources, receive announcements, and participate in activities outside of their classes.
Organizations may support:
- Academic programs
- Student clubs and associations
- Professional communities
- Student services and resources
- Faculty and staff initiatives
